Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 1, 2026

DealerRadar.AI LLC (“DealerRadar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the dealers and their customers who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

This policy applies to the DealerRadar.AI platform (dealerradar.ai) and all dealer storefronts powered by DealerRadar.AI, including storefronts on subdomains (e.g., dealer.dealerradar.ai) and custom domains operated by our dealer customers.

By using DealerRadar.ai or any storefront powered by DealerRadar.AI, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Dealers who use DealerRadar.AI to manage their storefront are subject to a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Contact privacy@truckradar.ai to request a DPA.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register for DealerRadar, we collect your name, email address, business name, phone number, and billing information. This information is required to create and manage your account.

Inventory & Business Data

We store the inventory listings, photos, descriptions, pricing, and other business content that you upload to the Service. This data is used to power your dealer storefront and related features.

Lead & Contact Data

When potential buyers submit inquiries through your storefront, we collect the information they provide (name, email, phone number, message). This data is shared with you as the dealer and stored to facilitate follow-up communications.

Usage & Analytics Data

We collect information about how you and visitors to your storefront interact with the Service, including page views, clicks, search queries, device type, browser, operating system, and IP address. This helps us improve the Service and provide you with analytics.

Inventory Search Queries

When you type into an inventory search bar on a DealerRadar-powered storefront, your search query is sent to our own servers to return results. Search queries are never forwarded to third-party advertising networks (Google, Meta, etc.) without your explicit prior consent. See Section 4 for how consent-gated analytics work.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and browser localStorage to maintain session state, remember your preferences, and collect analytics data. Analytics and marketing trackers (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel) are not loaded until you give explicit consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit to each storefront. You can update your preferences at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the site footer.

Your consent decision is stored in localStorage under the key dealerradar_consent_v1, along with a timestamp and the storefront URL where consent was given — for legal audit purposes. Because localStorage is scoped per browser origin, visiting two different dealer storefronts may result in two separate consent prompts.

4. Analytics & Consent-Gated Tracking

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for analytics and optionally Meta Pixel for marketing measurement. Neither tool is loaded until you provide explicit consent via the cookie banner.

We implement Google Consent Mode v2: before you give consent, no request is made to googletagmanager.com or connect.facebook.net. This is verified at the network level, not just suppressed client-side.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails such as lead notifications, invoices, and account alerts
  • Send product updates, tips, and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve features and fix bugs
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. SMS Communications

DealerRadar sends SMS messages to two audiences:

Dealer Staff Notifications

Dealer staff who register for a DealerRadar account may provide a mobile phone number during registration. By providing their number, staff consent to receive SMS alerts for new leads, missed calls, voicemails, and call activity on their account. Message frequency varies based on account activity. Staff can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

Buyer Follow-Up Messages

When a buyer submits a lead inquiry form on a dealer’s storefront, they may receive SMS messages from the dealer through our platform. By submitting a form with SMS consent language, buyers consent to receive SMS communications related to their inquiry from that dealer.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any SMS to immediately opt out. You may also reply HELP for assistance. To opt back in, reply START. All opt-out requests are recorded and honored immediately.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by account activity. This service is provided by DealerRadar in partnership with Twilio.

SMS opt-out records are retained indefinitely to ensure continued compliance with your opt-out request even if you later submit another inquiry.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate the Service. Each provider is bound by appropriate data protection agreements:

  • Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe receives your billing information to process subscription payments. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their use of that data.
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery. We use Resend to send lead notifications, account emails, and other transactional messages.
  • Neon (PostgreSQL) — Cloud database hosting. Your account and inventory data is stored in a Neon-hosted PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest and in transit.
  • Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare routes traffic to our platform and may process request metadata to provide these services.
  • Amazon Web Services (S3) — File and image storage. Inventory photos and other uploads are stored in AWS S3 with appropriate access controls.
  • Vercel — Application hosting. The DealerRadar application is deployed on Vercel’s infrastructure.
  • Twilio — SMS lead alerts. If you have SMS notifications enabled, Twilio delivers text message alerts when new leads are received.

We may disclose information to law enforcement or government authorities when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DealerRadar, our users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your data for 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it will be deleted from our production systems. Backups may persist for an additional 30 days.

Lead data submitted by buyers through your storefront is retained for 12 months and then deleted, unless you export it before that time.

Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked to individual users.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest in our database and file storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
  • Delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly
  • Do Not Sell my personal information (CCPA) — California residents may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Use the “Do Not Sell” toggle in Cookie Settings (footer link) or email us. When this opt-out is active, Meta Pixel is fully disabled.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@truckradar.ai. We will respond to requests within 30 days.

    8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for use by businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

    9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in your account dashboard before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
